Waiver Policy

Article Processing Charges (APC) Waiver Policy

Al‑Rafidain Dental Journal is committed to fostering inclusive and equitable access to scientific publishing. To support researchers with limited funding, we offer a transparent and fair waiver policy for Article Processing Charges (APCs), in line with international ethical standards and the principles of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).

APC Information

  • The standard APC is 100,000 IQD per accepted article.

  • This fee covers peer review, editing, archiving, and open-access hosting.

Waiver Eligibility

We may grant full or partial waivers in the following cases:

  • Authors from low-income or lower-middle-income countries, as classified by the World Bank.

  • Authors without institutional or grant funding.

  • Undergraduate or graduate student submissions.

  • Manuscripts of exceptional public health importance or regional impact.

How to Apply

  • Authors must request a waiver at the time of submission or prior to final acceptance.

  • Waiver requests should include a brief justification and relevant supporting details (e.g., funding status, institution, or country).

  • Requests can be sent to: [email protected]

Review and Confidentiality

  • Waiver decisions are made by the editorial team and do not influence the peer review or editorial decision-making process.

  • All waiver requests are treated confidentially and fairly.

- The Journal has implemented a generous waiver policy that facilitates the payment of manuscript handling fees for researchers who choose to publish their manuscripts with us. Our main objective is to expedite the dissemination of knowledge by publishing high-quality research articles. In pursuit of this goal, we strive to minimize the financial burden on researchers and their institutions. Our waiver policy is designed to support researchers in sharing their work without imposing excessive financial constraints.
